The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred recently in an unincorporated section of District Heights. The suspect is 32-year-old Antione Gray of District Heights. He’s charged in connection with the murder of 43-year-old Arthur Weeks Jr. of District Heights.
On March 29, 2022, at approximately 10:30 pm, patrol officers were called to the 3200 block of Walters Lane for a shooting. The victim was located in a parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital.
Through various investigative techniques, detectives were able to identify Gray as the suspect. Preliminarily, detectives believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute between the suspect and the victim. Gray is charged with first and second-degree murder, among other related charges. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections and is being held on a no-bond status.
