PGPD Detectives Charge Suspect for Sexual Assault in Beltsville on Sunday

Detectives charged a suspect in connection with a sexual assault inside of a Beltsville home this weekend. The suspect is 22-year-old Victor Salguero-Roldan of the 10000 block of Pleasant Acres Drive in Beltsville.
On July 21
st, at approximately 3:20 am, patrol officers were called to a home on Pleasant Acres Drive for the report of a breaking and entering.
The preliminary investigation reveals Salguero-Roldan broke into the victim’s home and entered her bedroom. The adult female victim tells detectives
the suspect inappropriately touched her. The victim screamed, causing the suspect to run out of the house. A PGPD K-9 was brought in to conduct a track. The suspect was located nearby. The victim and suspect do not know each other.
At this time, there are no similar crimes reported in that area.
Salguero-Roldan is charged with attempted second degree rape, breaking and entering and fourth degree sex offense.
