Homicide Unit detectives charged a man in connection with a double homicide in District Heights in early June. The suspect is 29-year-old Kyeem King of the 100 block Onondaga Drive in Oxon Hill. He is charged with fatally shooting 26-year-old Davion Brandon and 28-year-old Antonio Taitano-Walker, both of Suitland.
On June 1st, at approximately 1:30 am, officers on patrol discovered a car idling in a parking lot in the 1900 block of Rochelle Avenue. The officers discovered Brandon and Taitano-Walker inside of the car suffering from gunshots wounds. The officers called for emergency medical personnel and then began to render aid to both victims. Brandon was pronounced dead on the scene. Taitano-Walker was taken to the hospital where he died eight days later.
King and the victims were known to each other. The motive for the double murder remains under investigation. King is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
