PGPD Detectives Charge Suspect in Town of Fairmount Heights Fatal Shooting

Homicide Unit detectives identified and charged a suspect in connection with a homicide that occurred in the Town of Fairmount Heights
in May. The suspect is 25-year-old Reginald Williams. His last known address is O Street in Northwest Washington. He is charged with fatally shooting 32-year-old Elijah Jackson of Capitol Heights.

On May 29th, at approximately 3:40 pm, patrol officers responded to the 5300 block of Sheriff Road for the report of a shooting. The victim was located outside in a parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified Williams as the suspect. The suspect and victim were known to each other. The motive remains under investigation.

Williams is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections. A commissioner ordered him held on a no-bond status.
