Detectives with our Homicide Unit are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday in the unincorporated section of Bladensburg. The victim is 67-year-old Randolph Stoddard Jr. of Bladensburg. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On April 20, 2022, at approximately 12:30 pm, patrol officers were called to the 5300 block of Quincy Place for a welfare check. They discovered the victim inside an apartment suffering from trauma to the body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives are actively working to identify a suspect(s) and a motive.
