Detectives with our Homicide Unit are conducting an investigation into the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Oscar Alaniz-Gurdian
of Landover, Maryland. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Tipsters will never have to give their name.
On December 6, 2019 at approximately 10:30 pm, officers from the Prince George’s County Police and Maryland National Capital Park Police were called to the 2400 block Pinebrook Avenue for a report of a shooting on Maryland National Capital Park and Planning property. Once on scene, they discovered Alaniz-Gurdian with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives are looking to identify a suspect(s) and a motive.
