PGPD Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting in Suitland

Detectives with our Homicide Unit are conducting an investigation into a fatal shooting early this morning in Suitland. The victim is 29 year-old Charles Yelverton of Washington, D.C. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On October 13th, at approximately 12:30 am, patrol officers were called to the 3600 block of Parkway Terrace Drive for the report of a shooting. They discovered the victim inside of a car suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are looking to identify a suspect(s) and determine a motive.
