PGPD Detectives Investigating Fatal Shooting in Suitland

Detectives with the Homicide Unit are working to arrest the suspect(s) who shot a man on Friday evening in Suitland. The victim is 21-year-old Robert Michael Cooper III of Clinton. He died of his injuries on Saturday.


On January 15, 2021, at approximately 6:35 pm, patrol officers responded to the 2300 block of Brooks Drive for the report of a shooting. The victim was located outside suffering from a gunshot wound.

Detectives are working to establish a motive and identify suspect(s) in the case.
