PGPD Detectives Obtain Arrest Warrant in Connection with Oxon Hill Homicide

The Prince George’s County Police Department is actively searching for the suspect wanted in a fatal shooting in Oxon Hill in September. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for 28-year-old Michael Dequane Woodruff of Washington, DC. He’s charged with the murder of 39-year-old Robert Hall of Washington, DC.


On September 11, 2021, at approximately 2:10 am, officers responded to the 800 block of Maury Avenue for the report of a shooting. Officers located the victim outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed Woodruff shot Hall during a dispute. They were known to each other.

Woodruff is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges.
