PGPD Detectives Release Video of Homicide Suspect Fleeing Scene

Prince George’s County Police Homicide Section detectives released video of the suspect wanted for a recent fatal shooting in the city of Seat Pleasant. The video captures the suspect running from the scene shortly after shooting and killing 20-year-old LaDainain McMillian of Seat Pleasant. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.



On August 14, 2022, at approximately 1:00 am, patrol officers with the Seat Pleasant Police Department and Prince George’s County Police Department were called to the 5700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway for a shooting. Officers discovered McMillian unresponsive in the parking lot of a restaurant suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.




In the video, the suspect is seen running north on Eastern Avenue as well as walking down 62nd Avenue into Fairmount Heights







Preliminarily, detectives are looking into whether this shooting stemmed from a possible verbal dispute.




Prince George’s County Police Department investigates all homicides in the city of Seat Pleasant.
