PGPD Detectives to Conduct Canvass in Temple Hills Homicide

This evening, Homicide Unit detectives will canvass a Temple Hills neighborhood as part of their investigation into a fatal shooting on Sunday. The victim is 31-year-old Kirk Jacques Francois Lyles of no fixed address. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. 8th, at approximately 2:30 pm, officers responded to the 4000 block of 21st Place for a reported shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, they located the victim on a sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite all life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital.

The canvass is scheduled for 7:00 pm today and will begin in the 4000 block of 21stPlace.

Detectives are actively working to identify a suspect(s) and a motive in this case.
