DUBAI, United States Emirates - Saudi security forces clashed with gunmen in the Red Sea port city of Jiddah on Thursday, Al Arabiya television reported.

It said the clash took place in the Ruwais district, where security forces surrounded fugitives. Ambulances were carrying the wounded from the scene, Al Arabiya said.

It did not give further details in its news flash.
