Ask yourself this question - how often does the United States OPENLY decide to interfere in the legal proceedings in another country? Do we DO that? Tell one of our allies, stop this lawyer or end this investigation you're doing in your country, or you don't get any money from us?And by corrupt, you mean he was after Burismas and interfering with Hunters payola.

Shokin wasn't fired because Joe was worried about Hunter - Burisma HIRED Hunter so they could get JOE to fire Shokin. And it worked.
