No because nobody cares. :coffee:

I agree. First heard about that show in 2006. And never watched a minute of it, despite getting blow by blow accounts of each episode.

Who cares about public worship of murderers?

I have not missed one episode. I was disappointed that they killed Ms. F*ity F* F*. The finale was just disappointing.

I'd like to see a two hour movie, where Batista finds out about Dex and Deb and who they killed. We need an explanation for the Masuka daughter character. That was a lame addition.
Or something where Harrison gets to grade school and starts serial killing :lmao: and Dex finds him through the news stories.

That would be great!!! I'd like to see that too!
A movie would be awesome!!!
I have been reading as many articles that I can on the show, and some fans were inquiring about a tv spinoff? Have you guys heard of this? Or maybe, this is just wishful thinking on the part of the fans!

I thought the finale was good with Deb dying, then it went to terrible with what happened to Dexter. I never could grasp the concept, that Dexter's desires/urges to kill left him with his love for Hannah, but that he didn't lose his urges to kill while he was married to Rita? And I thought it was ridiculous when Dexter didn't kill Saxon...that just seemed stupid and out of character for Dexter!

Dexter is a great show! It certainly was original and unique and the cast was great!

I bet if you watched a few episodes you would like it! If you watched season 4 with the "Trinity Killer", you would be hooked for life! lol
(John Lithgow was fantastic in this season, and won an emmy for it!)

A. This is because Hannah KNEW him and he KNEW Hannah. He shared everything about himself with Hannah and she accepted him just the way he was without reservation. He could talk freely, say what he thought, without worry of judgement. This kind of relationship creates a much stronger emotional bond between two people opposed to having to hide certain aspects of yourself or thoughts. There is a great freedom in being able to "take the mask off" and just be who you are.

Dexter cared for Rita but lacked the bond because he was always hiding something from her. He was unable to integrate her into every aspect of who he was.

B. This was a turning point in Dexter's emotional character, finally being able to choose the right decision opposed to following an uncontrollable urge. It was kind of half-shoddily thrown together which really detracted from the overall symbolism of emotional growth. I agree, I wanted him to kill the SOB.

I like your explanations--and I agree with you! I guess there was a part of me that didn't want Dexter to change, and so wanted him to kill Saxon...

Did you think that some things were predictable in the finale--such as Deb dying and Hannah leaving with Harrison? I did...but no one could have predicted Dexter becoming a lumberjack! lol (I hated this ending!)

I don't watch previews of episodes so I was not aware she may/could/would/ die. I was hoping she would help Dexter kill Saxon! That would have been a cool twist.

I knew Dexter would survive..but a lumberjack? Really?? WTH is next? Using trees to squish his victims?? Bleh...

My husband goes around saying, "Stick a needle in his neck" when he doesn't like something / someone...cracks me up.

I liked it this season when Deb and Dexter were in the car, and Deb took the steering wheel and landed the car into the lake/river...if they had left it at that, but without you knowing if they died or didn't, would have been a good ending. After I saw that, I knew they wouldn't be able to top that in the finale...
