Diagnosis of hip dysphasia and Spondylosis

Does anyone have any experience with either one of these? I have an 8 year old American Bulldog who woke up last Thursday with acute pain. It was one of the worst things I have ever seen. He was yelping in extreme pain. The vet diagnosed him and as of today we aren't seeing much relief. They are switching his Meds today. I was just wondering if anyone else has went through this. Any tips or advice?? Thanks in advance....

My beagle has it. She was put on a diet, prescription dry food for her hips and rejuvanate pills and it has seemed to her her a lot.
