Did a wheelie!

Well, the trailer I was riding the bike up onto did one. :jameo:
I forgot to put a jack under the rear and whoopie! I probably would have been okay had I kept going, but I flipped out and stopped. Then tried to go, no dice, just spun the tire and slewed the rear end around and plopped over sort of gently on the side. Son came by a few minutes later and said he was sorry he hadn't been there..
..with a video camera. :lmao:

Weird thing was after I jacked up the trailer and righted the bike it only wanted to run on one cylinder. It could only have been on it's side, probably a 30 degree angle for less than 2 minutes. I took a look at the plugs and they seemed ok. I thought maybe gas had flowed into one cylinder or something and flooded it. Pretty soon it started firing sporatically and now it's fine.

Damn acorns

I did that once. I forgot to latch the trailer onto the ball. Rode up and the trailer poped up so I gunned it and rode the rest of the way in. I was sure the hitch mangled the truck but it didn't.

ONe day I saw a guy that worked at Carrolls Equip do that trying to load a lawnmower on a trailer. I was quite amused.

Did it come back down on the ball? That would be a 10 pointer. :yay:
You'd have to have held off hitting the brakes until the trailer came back down. Nerves of steel.

I dropped my bike not too long ago when I pulled it in the garage, turned it off, and just hopped off of it. Guess what I forgot to do? Yep, I forgot to put the kickstand down...

I have caught myself just in time several times. It's just a matter of time. I only hope it's not in front of a crowd. :lmao:

And your bike is a V-twin too isn't it?? This is a normal thing for my bike when it's on its side for any amount or time, but I wouldn't think a V would suffer from it.

I've got into the habit of shutting the bike off using the kickstand.. the only bad thing would be if I stall it pulling it in to park, and assume.."The bike is off, the kickstand must be down" So far so good..

Nope, the problem with mine is the oil.. if you get the bike back up you're ok, but if you let is set, the oil pools in the head of the "down" cylinder..

In your case you're thinking one of the carbs was flooded?

Either that or maybe the float got stuck up? (If it even has floats.)Mine wouldn't have been down long enough or even at enough of an angle to get oil up there.

I wheelied my 24 ft long trailer loading my jeep one day. Only mine popped up in the air and went forward, holding me and my truck hostage. The trailer tongue was WELL over top of the truck. THAT sucked. Thankfully it was late at night, in the neighbors driveway, and everyone was sleeping. I intended to keep it that way.
