we got a Southern Maryland stuffed ham! The thing was big enough to feed an army. I also got some weird tobacco leaf ornament thing. It was kinda cool but it stunk to the high heaven -- which is where it is now --.

Interesting wording of your question. I guess you’re implying that “traditional Southern Maryland” is synonymous with “weird”.

I gave several redneck weather vanes to friends in other states. You know the stick that you hang and it bends up or down depending on the weather.

The weather stick is the best. It really does work. I give them out every year. Can only find them in Leonardtown. Never have found them anywhere else.

That's not weird, that's a great present!

I agree. My mom gave me a couple of pounds of stuffed ham for my birthday and I got to take home the leftover stuffed ham from Christmas dinner. :yay:

No other "weird" Southern Maryland gifts but I did get some interesting ones from my friends who came up from New Orleans.

I got one that tops that...a couple years ago, the guy I was dating at the time...well, I went to Christmas at his parents house. His mother gave me this beautiful sweater which I really liked. However, the tag on the box was addressed to his FORMER girlfriend...Mom was extremely embarrassed. :lmao: And we had been dating for close to a year. I didn't know whether or not to take that as a hint...
