...Hillary may choose Bill as her VP.

Not sure that would be legal, because he's ineligible to be President, and in the event of her death - who knows how that would work.

Still - for the same reason I thought making Hillary VP under Obama - I would not want the only thing stopping a Clinton from being President is my STILL BEATING heart.

This has been discussed before. As unlikely as it is, it is legal. The law is "cannot be elected" to more than two terms. If he were First Man and she were to die or become incapacitated, he could ascend to the throne, oops I mean presidency but could not run for re-election at the end of the term.

Doesn't matter because she's not going to make it that far. But I can tell you right now, she will not want him to be any part of her administration. This is HER show and she's trying to prove something. The last thing she'd want is Bill rolling up on her stealing her thunder.

Hate to turn this in to a political thread but..... You are correct. I believe the only reason he has started stumping for her is because her campaign said she had to use him to stem her decline against the Bern. She doesn't want him out there but her handlers consider him a lifeboat on a sinking ship.

Pres and Vice-Pres have to be from different states. While it's obvious Mr. and Mrs. Clinton are rarely together, they both claim NY as their home state. One would have to claim a new state (proving they are separated) for them to be on a ticket together.

Now, that said, they've killed people before, so it's not impossible to imagine she'd choose Sen Sanders or Gov O'Malley or Joe Schmuckatelli to be her running mate and then have her running mate "quit", be shamed into impeachment, or commit suicide with multiple gunshots to the head, or die in a horrible plane crash - you know, the normal things that happen to people who get into the Clintons' way - and then appoint Mr. Clinton to VP.

Not so: Residency limitation[edit]

While it is commonly held that the president and vice president must be residents of different states, this is not actually the case. Nothing in the Constitution prohibits both candidates being from a single state. Instead, the limitation imposed is on the members of the Electoral College, who must cast a ballot for at least one candidate who is not from their own state.

In theory, the candidates elected could both be from one state, but the electors of that state would, in a close electoral contest, run the risk of denying their vice presidential candidate the absolute majority required to secure the election, even if the presidential candidate is elected. This would then place the vice presidential election in the hands of the Senate.

Thanks, y'all, for the very interesting and informative replies. I started this thread in the joke forum, but it is a very serious, and thought provoking issue. And, I am sure y'all heard today that some of Hillary's emails to be released cannot be released because they would be considered too sensitive and could impact national security. Is that another joke? Really? If that is the case, The Hill (pun intended) should be going to jail tomorrow. The whole lot of them. Unbelievable. This email situation will be spun better than O'Reilly could ever do. Disgusting. Really.

I just re-read your post. But, seriously, the Clintons might be the most corrupt, conniving couple in the history of the world.
