I mean hell, gold frikin bars with the same numbers as the ones owned by the folks who allegedly bribed him, hundreds of thousands in cash literally hundreds of pounds of evidence, and this shitbags gonna walk. With all that, no way to not have a conviction, so the best they can do is get him a mistrial after the fact.

He has challenged the conviction after prosecutors recently revealed that jurors were permitted to see some evidence during deliberations that was supposed to be excluded from the trial.

I don't for a second believe this was simple prosecutorial error. This is his escape chute from prison time.

Senator for New Jersey, oh yes he was corrupt. There's zero chance he got elected and stayed in power in that state otherwise. Maybe the only reason you're hearing about it now is that he couldn't deliver on what was promised.

I remember a local citizen who got arrested and convicted for killing ducks, He was sentenced and he told the Judge he should not be sentenced because he had cancer and was terminal.
The judge said They have doctors in jail and away he went.
