Walmart rolls back DEI policies, becoming latest US firm to join growing trend

Walmart joins Ford, John Deere, Toyota, other major companies in ditching controversial DEI initiatives

Walmart is making a slate of changes to its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies, becoming the latest in a growing list of major corporations to halt the so-called "woke" initiatives.

Anti-woke activist and filmmaker Robby Starbuck, who has been leading a campaign exposing major corporations' woke policies, said on X on Monday that he warned Walmart executives last week that he would be doing a story on "wokeness" at the retail giant.

"Instead," Starbuck shared, "we had productive conversations to find solutions."

Starbuck outlined the changes Walmart agreed to make, including working to remove sexual and transgender products inappropriately marketed toward children and reviewing grants to Pride events to avoid funding sexualized content targeting kids.

Walmart clarified that these changes have been in the works for a few years and were not a result of the conversation with Starbuck.

Why Was This Groundbreaking Study on DEI Silenced?

Two leading media organizations abruptly shelved coverage of a groundbreaking study that went against their narrative.

In a stunning series of events, two leading media organizations—The New York Times and Bloomberg—abruptly shelved coverage of a groundbreaking study that raises serious concerns about the psychological impacts of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) pedagogy. The study, conducted by the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) in collaboration with Rutgers University, found that certain DEI practices could induce hostility, increase authoritarian tendencies, and foster agreement with extreme rhetoric. With billions of dollars invested annually in these initiatives, the public has a right to know if such programs—heralded as effective moral solutions to bigotry and hate—might instead be fueling the very problems they claim to solve. The decision to withhold coverage raises serious questions about transparency, editorial independence, and the growing influence of ideological biases in the media.

The NCRI study investigated the psychological effects of DEI pedagogy, specifically training programs that draw heavily from texts like Ibram X. Kendi’s How to Be an Antiracist and Robin DiAngelo’s White Fragility. The findings were unsettling, though perhaps not surprising to longstanding opponents of such programs. Through carefully controlled experiments, the researchers demonstrated that exposure to anti-oppressive (i.e., anti-racist) rhetoric—common in many DEI initiatives—consistently amplified perceptions of bias where none existed. Participants were more likely to see prejudice in neutral scenarios and to support punitive actions against imagined offenders. These effects were not marginal; hostility and punitive tendencies increased by double-digit percentages across multiple measures. Perhaps most troubling, the study revealed a chilling convergence with authoritarian attitudes, suggesting that such training is fostering not empathy, but coercion and control.

DEI programs are just a money shakedown and launder scheme. I wish I were smarter, I'd have jumped on that and traveled the country giving seminars at $100k a pop. And if you don't hire me, you are clearly racist!

I demand reparations! NOW!!
Look, the only way to fix this and make us white guys whole again is simple. Hire only white heterosexual men, (not them flaky girly boys pretending to be men) or them dykie women with tattoos (and flat tops), I mean cheesburger eating. flatulent ripped flannel shirt beer guzzlin' men.
And stop the stupid commercials where a white dumbass man is servant to a mulatto woman and Chinese kids!!!!

Liberals in the entertainment industry have been racist and out of touch with America ever since I can remember. When MTV first started they wouldn't show Michael Jackson videos because they thought white Americans would have a cow if a black person was on their TV.

So where would they get an idea like that, considering there were already a number of popular shows featuring black people? Plus, it's freaking Michael Jackson. Who would go, "Oh, I'm having the vapors because Michael Jackson is on my TV! :drama: "?

It was the MTV people being racist, not America. And now those same people think putting black people or interracial couples in a TV commercial is somehow groundbreaking and edgy.

Its not edgy, its pushing you must accept this. My issue is its in every freaking ad now. The country is not 100 % interracial like these ads are pushing.

But we already accepted it. That's what I don't get. We're probably more intolerant now than we were 30 years ago because the libs don't know how to take a win.
If they do, they have nothing to occupy their time and get them attention, so they continue to push.

This time for crazy.

No, they keep pushing until the people say enough is enough and push back. Then they start whining and call those people names.
