You set on getting a Tom Tom? Got the Garmin Nuvi 265, it's the bomb, very user friendly and not too pricey

Not sure but the 265 is about 150 i believe and it has everything we need, i got it for fathers day and have been very pleased. I'm thinking Best Buy has them on sale right now but I'm not positive. Not too high end and we can sit in the living room and set up our distinations, I like it.

Put simply, you get what you pay for.

Garmin has GPS form $99 - 1000. Depends on what you want, and what you decide is necessary.

Some can input XM Radio, XM Traffic, and live update weather on the screen.

Some can tell you wher you are, and how to get where you want to go.. and that's it.

Others can link with your cell phone so you can make handsfree calls through your GPS..

Some are so accurate that they can tell what lane you are in on the interstate, and tell you what lane you NEED to be in for your exit. (most aren't and don't)

Some can transmit data to the web so people (of your chosing) can see where you are, where you have been and what your plans maybe on the trip..

Memory is big, you can chose how much on board memory you want..

SD cards.. some have them, some don't..

MAPS.. Almost ALL of them cover the entire US, but some only offer limited data to the West Coast (for example) if you buy one on the East Coast. Or you can buy one that has ALL the US Canada and Mexico.. intercoastal waterways, lakes rivers, and offfshore to 100 miles or so..
