No, not the Department of Motor Vehicles. It's apparently a new TLA (three letter acronym) for the DC area. DMV, "District/Maryland/Virginia", and is supposed to supersede "DC" or "the District". The news channels out of DC are using the term.

Doc Walker, ex redskin, news/sports caster, has been using it for well over 10 years. It's just been the last year or 2 that I've started hearing it more from others.
