Do I have to use a password?

I have an HP Pavillion X2. I'm bogged down with passwords.... Do I have to have a password on my tablet? Can't I set it up without a password for the machine? Yes I know I will need to have passwords for SOMD and facebook and gmail.... but does the tablet itself have to have one?

I can't imagine that you would HAVE to have a password. I have two different tablets and didn't have to have a password for either (Samsung and Sony). Most tablets let you use either a digital code or a swipe pattern, or none at all.

Not familiar with the tablets, but go to "my computer" or whatever it is, then users and change password to nothing
