Do posts get deleted without one being notified?

I had two on here today that vanished; one was about contractors getting on base; the other inquiring about a good place to rent a boat. I didn't ever see the boat one, but there were quite a few replies about contractors getting on base. If I did something wrong, would someone mind just telling me so I don't do it again? Maybe with the security it was deleted. Just curious. Now, anyone know where we can rent a boat? 6 adults and 1 child. Thanks in advance!

I didn't touch the boat one, but I did delete the one about the base. We had a note asking us to remove it for security purposes and the sender was a high enough source that we complied. Figure they oughta know what is and isn't kosher regarding security.

If your boat post was in a thread started a by a Premium member, they might have deleted their thread for some reason.

Thanks for the heads up. I was hoping it was a black/white question, but should have realized in my short time on here that it would get out of control quickly. And it did.

I was the one who started the boat one; I'll just figure it out on my own. Thanks again for the fyi.

I hope the base watches the forums closely. Sometimes I wonder about some things that are posted here, but think that if I question it that it would just draw more attention.

:yahoo: Good to see you respond to posts that concern base security. Saw the one over the past few days about the truck trying to get on base and I was surprised to see someone's karma almost go instantly red after they reminded people about things they shouldn't talk about here. I guess as a new member I'll get red lighted as well. I just know I would hate like the dickens to have too many of the base security measures given away and then find something bad parked next to my building.

:doh: If the base public affairs office wants to release information, that is their business. It's all of the seemingly innocent information that forumites post that might link together to create a more important image. If you look at a jig saw puzzle scattered across a table, it doesn't look like much, but there experts out there that plug away over long periods of time to put the pieces together to get the complete picture.
