Can anybody please reccomend a good doctror fot yearly physical/check-up in the st. marys/ to Lusby area? I went to Dr. Batong at Dr. Bennetts office last year. I do not wish to use their office agian. Any reccommendations would be very helpful!! Thanks in advance!

Any specific reason why you won't return to Dr. Bennett's office?

When I went to him years ago, he was very competent and professional.

Is Dr. Batong not?

she told me that it "does not" matter if fasting when having blood and cholesrtol checked. I did not like that answer so I will not return. I felt she was being lazy.

Do a search on here for Dr. Batong. No one has anything nice to say about her. She has the bedside manner of an ox.

Not sure if it is the same Dr. Bennett but I went to one that was in California near the VFW and could not stand him. Neither could the ex hubby. His office looked like it was from the 50's. Everything metal and way too steril looking. It was in a house. The man had no personality whatsoever.

No, I they are not the same, Dr. John Bennett in California (I have never heard anything good about him) Dr. Charles Bennett in Lusby (a relative uses him and really likes him).

Remembering back, I think I was seen by her ONCE. It's been many years and brain cells ago, though. That may have been one of the reasons, along with more options with better health insurance, that I quit going there. Blood work without fasting is BS.

I went to Dr Naini the other day. he's really good and nice! The office staff are wonderful too! He has a office in PF and i think in California as well.

she sounds like a real dope. Any good doctor should know that fasting lowers your blood preasure.

Why do you think you need a yearly physical? If you've not had trouble with blood sugar or high lipids, why would you need these checked? Unless you have some medical condition of family history that requires close follow-up, a yearly physical makes about as much sense as a fasting blood sugar or cholesterol. It makes money for your doctor but does not make sense.

If you are being screened for diabetes, a blood sugar two hours after a meal is more meaningful than a fasting blood sugar.

I saw Dr. Batong in the Urgent Care. OMG WHY IS THIS LADY ALLOWED TO PRACTICE? She said my son's foot wasn't broken and the next day Calvert Hospital's ER Dr. called me to say it's broken in two places. What a quack.

Anyway, answer to your question, we have gone to Dr. Nasr and Dr. Cafferty for 13 years and I love them. They are very busy though, but that's because they are excellent. Everyone is so caring, the nurses, front desk, billing everyone of those girls are exceptional.
