Does anyone actually use Bluetooth with their Phon

A long time ago i came to the realization that bluetooth is pretty wortheless for file transfers and things of the like. When i learned the protocol found a nice home with voice transfer i thought to myself, "good for you bluetooth, good for you". A few days ago i was introduced to a bluetooth headset. While utter disgust in bt had me reluctant i tried the headset out with my iphone. I used the Plantronics M155 headset as my coworker told me i need to "experience my phone life handsfree". Hes the kind of ass hat that walks around with the thing in his ear 24/7. But i washed out the ear gel and stuffed it in my ear, the pairing, was super easy and the connection was very clear, and then it dawned on me that all phones should be made this way....hands free connection to the phone is amazing! The headset was also optimized for iOS which made it pairing and using a lot easier than other option from what i understand....so my question to you all, is do you use bluetooth headsets? I would love to hear the good, the bad and the ugly in regard to your experience with bt headsets...

We use BT all the time..

It connects our phone(s) to the car to operate hands free, and also to the Zumo on the bike..

I think wearing an earpice is beyond dorkish, and just means you are WAAAAAY to important, or too damn lazy to hold your phone up to your head.

You can't pay me to walk around with one of those ghey things stuck in my ear. People look utterly ridiculous wearing them. :boo:

I have a Jabra Cruiser clipped to my sun visor in the car for hands free driving.

I have a bluetooth thing for my phone and I liked it the handful of times I actually remembered to use it. I'm one of those - a person who doesn't have my phone constantly glued to my side, so I miss a lot of calls and texts.

I also have a thing called DriveSafe.ly that reads my texts to me if I'm driving or something, then I can dictate a response text hands-free. I'd like it, too, if I'd remember to use the bluetooth device.

Where did you get the drive safely thing? Does it work thru your radio? I synched my work cell through my car radio and love it.

My car handles the bluetooth thing for me! Automatically hooks up to the phone each time I start the car, and converts text messages to voice. All via hands free operation on the steering wheel. If I'm not in the car, I don't have a problem holding the phone. I don't use it that much anyway.

Power with Control
Only when driving, the Charger has it built in, I do recommend the module type for cars that dont have it, costs about $30, wife loves hers. Just hangs from the visor.

On roadtrips, I use an avarice style, unless I get lucky like alst trip, when I got a Cruze with it built in. Took about 15 seconds to sync.

Never use one walking around.

I have no idea if it works through a radio or not, but here's their website:
Free Mobile App Stops Texting While Driving - DriveSafe.ly

There's a free version that you can just receive texts, and for some small annual fee they'll let you dictate responses. When I first got it Christy sent me a bunch of texts with cusswords and vulgar language so I could hear the nicey nice kindergarten teacher read them back to me.

LOL, I saw "text" on my radio screen so I have it, just need to figure out how to use it.
