how long it takes to get from NAS Pax River to the Baltimore airport? My husband has to catch a flight out of there and he has never been. Also, would taking Rt. 4 be the fastest? Thanks!

How many miles does that add to the ride??awpitt said:I suggest cutting over from Rt. 2 to Rt. 50 via Rt. 424 that goes through Davidsonville. This allows you to avoid most of the traffic that’s closer to Annapolis and you avoid the traffic that’s normally on the 301 to 3 route. Once you get on 50, it 65mph all the way to I-97.
Rt. 4 then right onto Rt 2 then left on to Rt 424 straight through Davidsonville then, at the Park & Ride get on Rt 50 East then I-97 north. Stay on I-97 until the Rt. 176 exit (Dorsey Rd.).

No next week. Just trying to get a head start so he won't get lost! He's not very direction savy!Crow Bait said:Today?
Check for delays...
It's about the same as going to 97 in Annapolis. It saves you from getting caught up in red lights and there are some really nice homes to look at.itsbob said:How many miles does that add to the ride??
I always go 4 to 301/3 to 97.. Takes about 1.5 - 1.75 hours.Dukesdad said:It's about the same as going to 97 in Annapolis. It saves you from getting caught up in red lights and there are some really nice homes to look at.

ditto - of course the drive time will vary based on time of day (traffic) on both Rt 4 and 301.Makavide said:I normally leave Lexington Park area 4 hours prior to departure time, gives me plenty of time to get there, turn in rental car and make it through security. Take rt4N to 301N to 3N to 97N - for me it is the fastest way.
