I think it's that and being surrounded by lackeys and sycophants all the time. No real friends to tell you to chill or help you put things into perspective. That would make anyone nutty, and is probably why so many artistic types (who are half crazy to begin with) go off the deep end for good.

She's got a younger sister who looks alot like her. I really hope she is smart enough not to follow in her big sister's footsteps.

Mental illness is no excuse for shoddy personal upkeep. She'd probably feel better if she got those ratty nails done. And maybe a nice relaxing pedicure as well. A facial would help.

I agree and those same people would probably be more reluctant to actually get her the help she really needs because chances are they care more about getting her in a studio or a stage to make money than whether or not she is cracking up. Her symptoms are pretty classic for manic depression or "bi-polar" to be politically correct unless they really are drug/alcohol induced highs and lows.

It's because she was surrounded by handlers while she was still a child and isolated from the adults who should have been caring for her. Look what they did to Elvis. Britney never had to make a decision or grow up the way a "normal" person would, therefore, she still has the emotional maturity of a 16 year old and it shows.

BTW, NBC4.com reporting the rumor that she is PG again -- by a record producer this time. HE says it's true; she has not publicly denied it......

Many times people with undiagnosed bipolar disorder self-medicate with drugs or alcohol.

Excusing her behavior by calling it mental illness is :bs:. She is just someone who never grew up and doesn't know what it means to be a responsible member of society or a parent.

There is nothing wrong with her that couldn't be cured with a few months of sobriety and a shocking dose of real life.

I also read where she wants to adopt a Chinese baby. Like they would let someone who, through her own actions, has lost custody of her own biological children adopt a baby. Does she really think she can just screw up, lose her kids, and then replace them like a lost cell phone? UFB!!!
