On Easter morning do your kids have to look for their baskets or are they left out in the same spot every year? I was talking to someone about this who said they never heard of the baskets just being left on the kitchen table. But I have never heard of the baskets being hidden. Just wondering what everyone else did.

Growing up our baskets were always on the couch! As an adult with kids, my sister started hiding the kids' baskets. I've always left my daughter's out - I'm wondering if I should hide it - just because the cousins will talk! But the bunny hides the eggs!

Same here.

I don't remember eggs as a kid, but when I got older, the adults always hid the eggs but the Easter Bunny always hid the baskets. It was more fun as a kid to hunt for it.

I'm thinking hidding the baskets may be fun for the kids too. I just had never heard of it and was curious how many people did it. I'm thinking I may start hidding them.

I didn't like it myself, because when I was a kid, they just colored boiled easter eggs. And we couldn't waste them either. We had to crack them open and eat them all before they went bad. I don't know how my Mom n Dad could stand us; all 4 of us were gassy for a good week. I think I Mom was happy when they finally went to the plastic eggs and candy. :lmao:

We never hid the baskets, but I am starting to hide the baskets because it seems so much more fun. Now for X-mas we did a treasure hunt one year to do something different. My mom put elf prints around the house and we had to find the gifts..Same thing for Easter if you want to try something different. Do an Easter Bunny treasure hunt?

Plastic eggs were cool. Especially if you found the golden egg with the big cash in it

I remember eating Easter Eggs, but not them being hidden. We would usually make egg salad out of them instead of eating a boiled egg.

My Grandmother always had a huge Easter Egg hunt for us kids when we were little. Each year we'd find eggs from years before:lol: She tore down her house and built a new one several years ago. In the tear down process more eggs were found in the yard and she hadn't had a hunt in ages:roflmao:

Is this a Northern thing or a Mid-West thing?
