Last August, Timmy Cooper was one of 367 pit bulls pulled from what's said to be the country's second-largest dog fighting bust. After that he literally became the poster child for abused animals
As you can see, Timmy's life has gotten a lot better since he was rescued on August 23, then moved to the Humane Society of Calvert County in Maryland, which took care of him on behalf of the ASPCA.
As for Timmy, he was officially signed over to the ASPCA by the court March 17, spokeswoman Emily Schneider tells HuffPost. On May 3, Brian and Nadine DeCicco became his permanent family.

The pictures are pretty heartbreaking. Poor dog was no more than 5 lbs with what looked to be a 20+ lb chain around his neck.
