The Tiki Bar on Solomons Island will host it's 4th annual P.A.W.S. fundraiser for the Calvert Well Pet Clinic on Sunday October 14, 2012, from 12 to 5PM. There will be over 20 vendors and pet rescue groups holding adoptions at "That Dog-Gone Tiki Bar Family Pet Day". Rescue groups include Humane Society of Calvert County, St. Mary's Animal Welfare League, Golden Retriever Rescue, Greyt Expectations, Second Hope Rescue, PAWS, Friends of Felines, ARF and Pets on Wheels.
Calvert County Animal Contol will be attending as well as Mr. Tom's Reptiles. The Calvert Search and Rescue Team will perform tracking and air scent demos at 12:30 & 1:30.
This is a family friendly event and there will be a moonbounce for the children as well as a booth for youngsters to purchase sodas and snacks (to keep them out of the bar area). DoggieStylez will offer pawdicures for a donation and The Calvert Well Pet Clinic will offer low-cost Microchipping from 2 to 3 PM. Addirtional vendors include Doggie Paws Mobile Grooming, Scentsy, Voodoo Shack Jewelry, New Orlean Food, Bag Hag, Southern MD Association of Petsitters, Island Pet salon, Midnight's Dog Training, Wags & Whinnies Petsitters, Maertens Fine Jewelry, Interlude Kennels, Pepper's Pet Pantry, Pure Vita Pet Food, Mimi's Catering, Grill Sergeant Bar-b-que food, and Dogwatch of Southern MD.
There will be a 50/50 raffle, general raffle and silent auction. 50/50 raffle tickets are already available at both Pepper's locations. (do not need to be present to win)

3:20 Best Pet Trick
3:40 Happiest Dog (most wags per minute)
4:00 Best Pet Costume
4:15 Pie eating contest (sm dogs up to 20 lbs)
4:30 Pie eating contest (med dogs 20-60 lbs)
4:45 Pie eating contest (lg dogs up 60+ lbs)
In addition, "Ripley" from the Rocket will hold a live remote broadcast. Free admission and plenty of free parking so bring the whole family for a fun day.
