Dog house???

Hypothetically, would you use an Amish-type built shed for a dog house on a hot day like today?

Hypothetically, this shed has small windows that are open, but that's it for ventilation. Wouldn't that cook a dog on a 94 degree day? Hypothetically, of course.

Hypothetically, I'd say lock the owner in there with it just to make sure it's not too hot for the dog. :lmao:

If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for the dog. Fenced in an area for a friend and built a roof over it. Kind of a low car port. Dog house under that and the dogs still dug under the dog house in the summer to get to the cool dirt.

Is the dog trapped somehow in the dog house? What type of dog? Does it have shade and water?

There is a chain link kennel attached to the shed and the dog enters through a doggy door. There is a small water bottle out there (one of those small automatic ones), but I don't see any shade offered on the kennel.

I know it's got to be hot as hell inside that shed.

Mine like to trench around the azaleas when they're not inside w/their faces over the AC vent on the floor! :yay:

Is this a friendly dog? If so, could you possibly go check to see how he is doing or is it out of reach?

I'd put my dog in the shed I built because it's on a cement slab with a second floor and the first floor is insulated walls and ceiling. Nice and cool even in this heat.

I doubt you can get anyone to do anything. I've seen worse conditions and AC thought it was fine. Have you checked on the dog? He may be fine.

seriously, it sounds like you all have way too much time on your hands, if the guy built a kennel attached to his shed, and their is a doggie door, i think the guy has it under control.

My Dad has several of these types of sheds. This time of year they get hot as hell inside.

My dog sleeps in an air-conditioned house on a king-sized bed all day
