What's happnening SOMD? Long time no see/talk, I know.
I know there's alot of dog lovers, rescues and fosters in this group that might be able to help at least get the word out.
My wife and I are involved with this group and it needs help. Needs Fosters, donations, even IT and transport help. They will take whatever help you can offer.

We are fostering our first dog from this group beginning next week. RIght now, it is run by two women who also have regular 40 hr/wk jobs. They pull from one particular kill shelter in Jones County, GA that has an extremely high kill rate. I used to live in that area, and I know full well the problems that GA has with strays; from forming packs and attacking wildlife and live stock, to attacking people, including hunters, kids at parks, etc.
Many of the dogs that are brought in are small family dogs. They will not adopt out any dogs that have not been temperament tested. I've seen some absolutely gorgeous "mutts" go thru there as well. Really cool dogs.
These two women are doing a tremendous amount of work on their own. My wife contacted them and asked what she could do to help and they made a site manager...which is funny, because above typewriter technology, my wife is pretty lost.
Check it out. If you are interested in fostering, or adopting, the fees are CHEAP. $125 gets the dog fixed, all shots and heart worm tested. They help arrange transportation, that is also taken care of by volunteers along the route. Transport costs don't even cover fuel for these folks.
The group has a HUGE following, but it's still not enough. They send dogs as far away as Ontario, Canada, and have Lab Rescues and other groups helping from as far away as Maine and Colorado.
Check it out. It' really is amazing the amount of work that these two women do "in their free time". And they are also working proactively to try to begin to limit the amount of strays that are created there by employing a donated mobile Vet service for nuetering/spaying.
Thanks!!!
