Dog tv

I've mentioned before that we have been subscribing to an online service called DOG TV. It really is amazing. We leave it on for the dogs during the times we aren't home. There has been a huge reduction in seperation anxiety and other little attitude problems. We also turned it on during fireworks and there was an instant calm down effect (relaxation was on).

Anyway, no longer is DOG TV only available online...you can now get it through DirectTV too. They will be having a free trial the first two weeks in August.

So if you have a dog, and Direct TV, I really really recommend checking it out!

I leave the scanner on instead.... it always tunes up the protection dog when he hears a siren or when it starts a lot of chatter....

It's helped with thunder storms and sirens too. Instead of Isabella barking and carrying on and Tesla spinning himself up, they'll both lay down and play with a toy. It's like immersion therapy.

The only thing it can't quite seem to stop is the reaction to a doorbell on TV. :ohwell:

Are you sure that your neighbors don't hate you? I would.

nope.....

(right now i dont have a neighbor on either side... and dont see me getting one any time soon!!!)

how is it any worse than an effing kid throwing a temper tantrum... or crying at the top of their lungs?

cuz at least i can get my dog to hush faster than anyone can get a kid to shut up! :killingme

One of my BarkBox subcription boxes gave us a month free of the online DogTV. Once my husband (the internet genius) set it up on our spare tv, we were good to go.

We keep the dogs confined to one room while we are gone, so turning on the TV and DogTV was a simple addition to make before we left the house. *Note* We followed the online recommendations of sitting and watching DogTV with them for a few episodes.

Within 1 week I noticed minor differences in their behavior when I got home for work. Within 2 weeks my husband noticed the difference.

We've been hooked ever since.

With it being free for a few weeks on DirectTV, I don't see why anybody wouldn't at least check it out.

Here's the online link with info

I have a pic of my cat watching Dog With A Blog, go figure. I'm lucky, I have no need for Dog TV. The worse things my dogs do when no one is home is lay on the couches. As soon as they hear someone come in the door, down they go to the floor!

I fell asleep with that on the other night and kept waking up, walking in circles on the bed and then lying back down and licking my privates until I nodded back off.

My dogs love animal planet, especially the deaf one for some odd reason. She fixates on that TV when animals are on it. I will check in to Dog TV though, it sounds pretty cool Thanks...
