It is ok to give dogs aspirin. Preferably it would be baby aspirin. Any other painkiller/anti-inflammatory is not good for dogs...tylenol, advil, etc.

A guy here at work was telling me he gives his old dog aspirin for arthritis. Is this a good idea?
I am not sure, but if your dog has recently :barf: you might want to wait a few days.

You can give them 325 mg. of buffered aspirin and it's better to give with a meal.
I give buffered asprin that I get from the pet supplements and the amount I give is based upon my dog's weight. And since it is from a pet supplement supplier, it comes in yummy chicken, liver and beef flavors.
