Dogs at the dump...

Dakota

~~~~~~~
My dog knows when it is time for a dump run. She sees trash going in the truck and waits... making sure she isn't going to be forgotten, she'll bark so as soon as I grab the keys, she is right by my side and hops in the truck.
I've noticed that dogs going to the dump is not an uncommon thing, mainly men will have a dog with them on a dump run. Today, I swear, I look in front and behind me and every vehicle has a dog sitting in the front passenger seat. :lol:
Dogs sure love to go to the dump... I just wish mine was that happy when it is time to go to the vet.
mine gets to go to my moms and other places with us so she doesn't always assume shes getting in the car to go to the vet or she wouldn't get in at all as she hates going to the vet...she starts shaking when we pull into the area the vets office is in poor pooch :(.
:yeahthat: We can no longer say the word "park" in our house. She also knows "walk," "potty," "nite, nite," and she knows how to spell "out"!!! :lol: There are other words in her vocabulary too!!!
Mine doesn't walk - refuses to do so but she knows the words "dump" "ball" "outside" "daddy" "hungry" even "vet" :lol: She has a pretty good knowledge of words for being a dog. I tend to talk to my dog a great deal and I bet you do too. I've been walking my neighbors dog and she now sits for me and lets me put her harness on when I tell her we are going for a walk. She is also understanding what "no" means. :doh:
Mine is the same way.. When he sees me getting bags ready, he won't leave my side. When it is time to go and he is in the truck, he whines and makes a funny noise all the way there. When I get out, he barks his head off until I get back in the truck. He is quiet as a mouse all the way home.
If it makes you guys feel better mine knows "Where the pets go" The slogon for Petco, she gets happy if its on TV.
I can't be in the house if I call for a bath appt because as soon as I say "Yes I need to schedule a bath..." She gets super excited!
My Deaf Boston (10 months old) is learning some sign language, and even my 2 year old Boston is picking up on it. They only know about 8 signs so far. I'm glad that we have a vibrating collar for the deaf one.
My brother has a Jack Russell that he has taught sign language. He works at Gallaudet University and learned how to sign so he can communicate with the students. He's passed it on to the dog.
Both of my Daughter's In-Laws are deaf, so I picked some of it up from her.
We have a JRT also, thought to be a Chiwawa/JRT mix.
Or maybe JRT and part cat... because...
today, she started sitting on the kitty condo. :confused:
