LONDON (Reuters) - German Shepherds are Britain's most unlucky canines according to a survey of the nation's dog owners.
Accident-prone Alsatians suffered the most number of calamities, from swallowing toys to getting their heads stuck in cat flaps, the poll of readers of Our Dogs magazine said Thursday.
The research also found that one of the most common accidents dogs suffered was falling down the toilet.
However the greatest tale of woe belonged to a Bull Terrier, which ate a bottle cap, plastic wrap, a toy car and some wire. The greedy mutt was put on a drip while an operation was carried out to remove the items -- and it promptly ate the drip as well.
