Jim Jordan says new whistleblower disclosures reveal 'scandalous' push by FBI to pad domestic terrorism data

"From recent protected disclosures, we have learned that FBI officials are pressuring agents to reclassify cases as ‘domestic violent extremism’ even if the cases do not meet the criteria for such a classification," writes Jordan. "Given the narrative pushed by the Biden administration that domestic violent extremism is the ‘greatest threat’ facing our country, revelation that the FBI may be artificially padding domestic terrorism data is scandalous."

During congressional hearings last year, Wray testified that investigations into domestic violence extremism have increased "significantly" and the FBI had "doubled the amount of domestic terrorism investigations," Jordan notes.

The Biden administration unveiled a national strategy for countering domestic terrorism last year, with officials telling Fox News it's designed to cut across the political spectrum while warning that White supremacy and "militia violent extremists" currently present the "most persistent and lethal threats."

In a speech following the announcement, Attorney General Merrick Garland asked for a "whole of society approach" to fighting domestic terrorism, while also detailing that the number of open terrorism investigations "has increased significantly."

"In the FBI’s view, the top domestic violence extremist threat comes from racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists, specifically those who advocated for the superiority of the White race," Garland said at the time.

Jordan says this narrative by the administration is "misleading" due to new whistleblower accounts.

The FBI Keeps Interfering In Presidential Elections. Time To Disband It

Here’s what happened. According to a letter released by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, addressed to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray, numerous “highly credible whistleblowers” have come forward about “a scheme in place among certain FBI officials to undermine derogatory information connected to Hunter Biden by falsely suggesting it was disinformation.”

Recall that Auten was deeply involved in Crossfire Hurricane, the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign that became the basis for the Russia collusion hoax. It was Auten who was in charge of verifying the phony Steele dossier but failed to flag its many errors and inconsistencies. He interviewed Igor Danchenko, a Russian-born lawyer who was the main source for the Steele dossier’s outlandish claims, three times in 2017. During those interviews, Danchenko undercut claims of collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow, raising serious doubt about the reliability of the dossier.

Auten was also in charge of reviewing the flawed Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act application to spy on Trump campaign associate Carter Page, which relied on the discredited dossier. According to Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on FISA abuse, Auten failed to advise his superiors of the inconsistencies between the Steele dossier and its primary source, Danchenko, including allegations against Page.

But it doesn’t stop there. Grassley’s letter also includes allegations from whistleblowers that the FBI assistant special agent in charge of the Washington field office, Timothy Thibault, “ordered closed” an “avenue of additional derogatory Hunter Biden reporting” in October 2020, a month before the election, without giving a reason as required by FBI guidelines, despite the reporting being “verified or verifiable via criminal search warrants.”

That is, Thibault closed the investigation even though he and others at the FBI knew much of what had been uncovered was true. Thibault is the FBI agent whose abjectly partisan social media presence prompted Grassley to send a letter in May accusing him of likely violations of federal law and FBI regulations for a “pattern of active public partisanship in his then public social media content.”

Sen. Johnson Blasts ‘Weaponized’ FBI For Undermining Hunter Biden Investigation

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., wrote a letter demanding the DOJ open an investigation into potential political targeting from the FBI upon hearing whistleblower claims the FBI actively worked to protect Hunter Biden amidst Johnson’s investigations into him.

The letter, addressed to Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Chris Wray, Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines, and DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, expressed serious concerns that the FBI “intentionally discredit[ed]” Johnson and Sen. Chuck Grassley’s investigations into Hunter Biden’s shady foreign entanglements.

Johnson referenced a previous letter in which Grassley alleged “there was a scheme in place among certain FBI officials to undermine derogatory information connected to Hunter Biden by falsely suggesting it was disinformation,” according to whistleblower reports.

Wray says he finds allegations FBI mishandled Hunter Biden info 'deeply troubling'

“I want to be very careful not to interfere with ongoing personnel matters,” Wray said when asked about whether this was true by Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Thursday. “I should say that when I read the letter that describes the kinds of things that you’re talking about, I found it deeply troubling.”

Auten “opened an assessment, which was used by a FBI Headquarters team to improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation,” according to Grassley. "In at least one instance, verified and verifiable derogatory information on Hunter Biden was falsely labeled as disinformation.” A whistleblower also said Thibault “ordered closed” an “avenue of additional derogatory Hunter Biden reporting," according to Grassley, even though “all of the reporting was either verified or verifiable via criminal search warrants.”

Thibault, who investigated public corruption in the nation’s capital, may have violated the Hatch Act over his social media posts criticizing then-President Donald Trump and then-Attorney General Bill Barr in 2020, according to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz last month.

“The investigation that you’re referring to … is being run out of our Baltimore office working with the Delaware U.S. attorney,” Wray said when asked if Thibault was or is working on the Hunter Biden investigation.

FBI official transferred after whistleblower allegations of political bias, senator reveals

On Thursday, the seven-term senator provided Just the News more details about what concerned him about the Thibault allegations, including that one of the investigations that was opened on thin evidence involved former President Donald Trump.

"We have evidence that there was a special agent in charge by the name of Thibault that the FBI should have known had political bias, because you could see it in his social media writings that he did over a long period of time," Grassley explained. "And he's the one that opened an investigation of Trump based upon fuzzy liberal reporting, and maybe even a little bit of fuzzy information from one left-wing nonprofit. ...

"The same person, when there was credible information of criminality on Hunter Biden, he shut that investigation down and classified it more or less as disinformation."

Leftists Dominate FBI Top 10 Domestic Terror List,

The FBI has sounded the alarm about white supremacists and far-right extremists, but the bureau’s own Top 10 “most wanted domestic terrorists” list includes at least two Communists, three black nationalists, one anti-war activist, and a vegan eco-terrorist.

While the diverse roster doesn’t purport to capture the breadth of domestic terror, it seems at odds with federal law enforcement’s claims that white supremacists pose the biggest threat facing the nation. Some skeptics are accusing the bureau of exaggerating the threat by adopting a misleading definition of such ideologies.

“In the FBI’s view, the top domestic violence extremist threat comes from racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists, specifically those who advocated for the superiority of the White race,” Attorney General Merrick Garland said last year.

Grassley Levels Chris Wray With One Simple Fact After He Claims He Has a Flight to Catch

Then when the senators started to call him out on it, what was his response? Sorry, guys, I can’t stick around, I have to catch a plane. Yes, he seriously said that to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA).

That astonished Grassley, who nailed him with a little reality, saying but you have “your own plane.”

Of course, Wray doesn’t want to stick around and give the Republicans 21 more minutes to grill him on things. This guy is something else; his smugness is infuriating. Director Wray, you work for us. And you have your own plane–that we pay for. So, it isn’t like you’re going to miss a flight if you leave 21 minutes later. The nerve of this guy.

Hawley Grills Wray on Explosive FBI Whistleblower Allegations Biden Team 'Cut Corners,' Let in 100s of Afghans on 'Watchlists'

Fox News reported in February that at least 50 Afghan evacuees were brought to the U.S. in the wake of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan whose information indicated “potentially serious security concerns.” The information came in a Pentagon inspector general report, which revealed that U.S. government officials were unable to locate dozens of those individuals who had “derogatory information” that would make them ineligible for parole.
A footnote in that inspector general report stated that the “significant security concerns include individuals whose latent fingerprints have been found on improvised explosive devices and known or suspected terrorists” and for which officials would send that derogatory information to appropriate Pentagon personnel.

They can’t even locate these people–so they can’t even watch them. That’s how bad it is.

Hawley asked during the hearing if Wray understood that number wasn’t just 50 but 324 who posed a “graver” situation, according to the whistleblower.

“Dear Director Wray,” wrote Sen. Marco Rubio this week, “I write to request that the FBI immediately initiate an investigation into the activities of Puentes de Amor (“Bridges of Love”), a group operating in the United States and whose members are acting as unregistered foreign agents of the Cuban regime, in violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). Yesterday, (July 30) Puentes de Amor held a demonstration in Coral Gables, Florida, as part of a coordinated effort by the Cuban regime to sow division, incite conflict, and influence the foreign policy of the United States. The group also flew flags marking Castro’s July 26th movement, in open support of the Cuban Revolution.

“Puentes de Amor has well known associations with the Cuban regime, and as recent as
last month, its leaders met with the Díaz-Canel regime in Cuba. The FBI should acknowledge the group and its members for what they are – malign foreign actors inside the United States – and conduct investigations of individuals who may be acting as foreign agents of the Cuban regime so that all FARA violations can be enforced to the fullest extent of the law.”

Better still (worse, actually) the head of this Bridges of Love travels in and out of totalitarian, terror-sponsoring Cuba at will, and even poses for propaganda pics in Cuba’s KGB-founded and mentored media alongside Cuba’s eunuch/sock-puppet “President” Diaz Canel.

As we go to press, Senator Rubio has not posted a response from Director Wray.

The FBI Hunt For Militia Violent Extremists

The Gadsden flag today is a common symbol at patriotic rallies across the nation where it symbolizes a commitment to liberty and democracy and a willingness to fight and die to defend them. Those sentiments were once taught in our schools and honored in our nation. They now, apparently, suggest dangerous extremism and an unwillingness to obey.

The FBI has published an internal document for use by law enforcement called the “Domestic Terrorism Symbols Guide.”This guide includes pictures of flags and symbols used by what the FBI now calls Militia Violent Extremists (MVEs). One of the flags pictured is the Gadsden flag. Also pictured is the so-called Betsy Ross flag you probably saw in your school textbooks. That would be the flag which has the stars in the blue union arranged in a circle.

It should be noted that “2A” is also a sign of extremism, because “MVEs justify their existence with the Second Amendment, due to the mention of a ‘well regulated Militia,’ as well as the right to bear arms.”

Other images the FBI now considers to be signs you are a threat to the republic include: the Alamo flag bearing the words “Come and Take It,” the Tree of Liberty, images of a Minuteman, and Spartan helmets. I have one of those helmets - a gift from a family member - sitting on a shelf in my office from which I regularly do video interviews, so presumably, I can now expect a knock at my door early one morning.

Quotes from the Founding Fathers are also suspect and also, shockingly, the text of the Constitution as well. Reminding others of the supreme law of the land is now subversive.

All this talk about the FBI becoming "compromised" in recent years...

The very FIRST FBI director was corrupt as chit and only out to serve himself & his crooked agency.
Hell. the movie & the series were made as complete propaganda pieces because their chitty practices were being exposed.

This has been a KGB & Gestapo style agency from the very beginning...Should've been terminated by it's second year in operation...

The shocking raid Monday of former President Donald Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago, Florida, stood in stark contrast to the many Trump opponents that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has not raided despite public evidence of alleged misconduct.

They include:

Hunter Biden and Joe Biden: The FBI has been in possession of Hunter’s laptop since 2019, which contains evidence that Hunter used Joe’s position to conduct lucrative foreign business. He also cut his dad into deals and commingled their funds.

Hillary Clinton: Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton mishandled classified information on a private server she likely used to hide efforts to use her office to raise money for her family’s foundation. She was infamously excused by the FBI.

Marc Elias and the Russia hoaxers: Elias, a lawyer for Democrats, helped arrange the so-called Russia “dossier,” which was then used to launch fraudulent and abusive investigations of Trump and his campaign. He has never been brought to justice.

James Clapper and John Brennan: The “Statler and Waldorf” of deep-state cable pundits fueled the Russia hoax and then cited their intelligence credentials to claim, falsely, that Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation in 2020.

Adam Schiff: Schiff lied to the public about his role in instigating the first Trump impeachment, then used his committee’s report to spy on members of the committee and the president’s lawyer, and failed to appear before the Judiciary Committee.

Kamala Harris: As the country reeled from riots in the summer of 2020, then-Sen. Harris (D-CA) called on supporters to bail out rioters in Minneapolis, likely encouraging more violence. She also referred to law enforcement as a “paramilitary.”

Black Lives Matter: Amid evidence that the left-wing group has been abusing its charitable status, even liberal states issued warnings to the group. But though the movement’s scope is nationwide, the FBI or DOJ have yet to do anything about it.

James Comey and Andrew McCabe: Amid evidence that the former FBI director and deputy director, respectively, had leaked to the media, they were let off the hook by internal investigations and have enjoyed speaking fees and cable slots.
