DOJ Suing GA over Election Laws

In recent years, state legislatures across the country have implemented voter identification laws. These laws require voters to present some form of identification at the polls. In some cases, the required identification must include a photo.

Details by state

For detailed information on each state's voter ID laws, click the links below.

The map below displays only those states that require already-registered voters to present identification at the polls on election day as states requiring identification.[1] Federal law requires a new registrant to provide either a driver's license number or the last four digits of his or her Social Security number at the time of registration. Many states that require identification allow voters to cast provisional ballots if they do not have requisite identification. Please see the table below the map for more details and follow the links provided for each state for more information.

You are Lying Again Sapiduis
Quoting the linked article:

The bill, known as SB 202, also adds a voter ID requirement for mail ballots, shortens the time period for requesting a mailed ballot and results in fewer ballot drop boxes available in metro Atlanta — provisions that drew the challenge from the federal government.
“The changes to absentee voting were not made in a vacuum,” Clarke said. “These changes come immediately after successful absentee voting in the 2020 election cycle, especially among Black voters. SB 202 seeks to halt and reverse this “progress.”

so you see having a current voter ID law is not the issue being disputed. Doesn’t mean the suit has any merit, just that your list of states with ID laws is not exactly relevant to the charges or claims.

How to make yourself look guilty:
Have the DOJ sue in an attempt to prevent election integrity.
Try to ban forensic audits, resist transparency.
Hire criminal defense lawyers.

These people are stupid.

I remember back in the 90's, it was claimed that Republicans wanted to CUT MEDICARE.

Upon further examination, it was shown they didn't want to cut it - they didn't want to EXPAND it as much as the Democrats.

Kind of like one candidate wants to raise your pension by 10%, the other by 5% - but if nothing happens, you'll get 2%.
The 10% nitwit will CLAIM the 5% guy wants to cut it.

Out of all the GA laws - which ones specifically would have kept even one person from voting, last time?
HOW, specifically, would they disenfranchise a black person, but not a white person?

Clearly Blacks are too stupid to get an ID

Well it's like Biden's recent remarks where he seems to believe every Latino in this country is here illegally.
For example, he claims the reason they don't want the vaccine is because they're afraid of being deported.

WAY too much rests on the overwhelming condescension of the left, on blacks.

So you think black people are too stupid to be able to vote the same as white people?

Who's the racist again...?

How do they prove that they are US citizens to register in accordance to their Constitution?

I see that GURPS posted about people presuming that “blacks are too stupid to get an ID,” but this particular lawsuit is about other issues — a voter ID requirement for mail in ballots, less time allowed to request a mail in ballot, and fewer drop off locations on the city.

I think there are reasonable replies to the claim that “saying non-white people will have trouble getting IDs is itself racist,” but evidently that kind of retort doesn’t even apply to this case.

If it were up to me a person would have to have a legitimate reason for a mail in vote such as infirmity, or out of the county or in the hospital, everyone else goes to the Polls on election day and shows their ID. Anyone who doesn't have a legitimate ID doesn't have any business voting. No one is trying to keep anyone from voting, but only once, and with proof of citizenship,

Merrick Garland wanted to be a Supreme Court Justice, yet clearly he doesn't understand the US Constitution. He should be forced to step down for this ridiculous fascist stunt.

It should have an ID requirement to both request the ballot and submit it. In person voters have to show an ID so this only seems equitable. Less time to request a mail in ballot, previously 180 days prior until the Friday before. Makes sense, parties don't even secure their nominee out that far and if you need a mail in ballot you ought to give the state a chance to get one to you in time to get it back to you. As to drop boxes why are they needed, postage is prepaid.

Well dumbass that is the narrative pushed by Progressives for years now

Requiring Showing ID's is Racist ... why would ID be discriminatory or supress the black vote

The Poor [ democrats always showing blacks ] cannot afford [ most ID's are free ] ID's
The Poor Cannot get to DMV to Get ID mind you there is public transportation or other means ... you cannot conviece me a person has NO Friends or Friends oif Friends who knows someone who cannot get them a ride to DMV

Mind you these same Poor People are REQUIRED to have ID to cash checks, purchase tobacco products, APPLY for Public Benefits
who does NOT have an ID these days ...

.... a voter ID requirement for mail in ballots, less time allowed to request a mail in ballot, and fewer drop off locations on the city.

Be specific now, how does this impact brown people more that whites or suppress the brown vote are you saying brown people cannot meet the same requirements as whites ...

Have an ID for a mail in ballot
Get a Mail in Ballot to the Mail Man in a timely manner
or get to a drop off location ... are the drop off location only in White Neighborhoods

If you want something badly enough, you will find a way. Voting without ID and verification of eligabilty is totally unacceptable. This is what we should be focussed on. Even tho it's my belief that only tax paying citizens should be eligible to vote for people who control the purse strings. If you're living off of the government, you should have NO say in who's running the show.
