Much like mine they avoid confrontation. I don't want to imagine what the hell is said behind my back though! :lmao:

I wasn't talking about you in particular, I was speaking in general. And if you think you've given more then you've gotten then that's a problem that needs to be taken offline. :flowers:

Lighten up baby. You're gonna have a heart attack by the time your 40. :flowers:
What I should have said was that if u think that its about "oh I bought u this you should buy me that" Then I don't think that's right in anyway. I have never said or put a dollar amount on the things that we buy each other. Yes, we can joke about it to one another. I don't think u should say Oh I bought u all them things so go buy me those things. U know?

Then we're in agreeance. Like I said it's a give and take and both parties should recognize that and be comforatable with the situation they're in.

I didn't tell Brent I've bought you x,y and z and you should get me a,b and c. I ask him to pick me up things on a regular basis. I'm sure it's more an inconvience issue then a dollar issue which is exactly why I ask him; it's not convienent for me. He biatched about it for a hot second until I reminded him of what I do for him. Give and take. He doesn't wear designer clothes and they're not all that expensive. I do more shopping and it's more convienent for me to get him things while I'm already out. I don't soley rely on him to get cigs or anything out but if I realize I'm running low when I already have the pigs in tow it's easier to ask him. And actually most often now adays he calls me enroute to ask if I need anything. :lmao: Give and take isn't always about the all mighty dollar.

I love dollar stores! I'm a sucker for cheap crap and will buy things I neither want nor need just because it's only a buck.
We go when we're just buying one or two things that we know can be had cheap there, and we don't care what brand it is. My wife stopped by one of these this afternoon to pick up cheap household cleansers (to clean up after the pups). Why not?

There is only one dollar store down here south of Hollywood (please tell me I am wrong). Why are there no famous dollar stores such as "The Dollar Store" or "Dollar Bill$". Those are the only ones I like to shop in. You get stuff that shouldn't be a dollar for a dollar.

They take debit cards, coupons and they keep with the theme of holidays. I can rack up come BBQ season because they make you want to buy all of that stuff. Back to school, birthdays, just moved into your own place, and holiday time they so REPRESENT. :cartwheel

I like Five Below. Everything is $5 or less, so obviously it's more expensive than dollar stores, but the stuff is generally so much better. I got my nephews Sports Illustrated calendars to go with the usual $$ we give them for X-mas, and they were only $3 each. The list price was $12.95, so I was happy with that (so were they!). Last year they had the Guiness Book of World Records 2005 books for only $5. I had just bought one at Sam's for $13.95, so I took that one back and got the $5 one instead. They tend to have lots of "girly" stuff at Five Below (room decorations like beads, lava lamps, disco balls, etc) too. My daughter and nieces love to browse around that store.

My dollar store of choice is Dollar Tree (they have nice quality greeting cards for only 50 cents each), although sometimes I run into some good deals at Dollar King.

When I was in Japan, I had gotten a few gifts to bring home when I came across a 100 yen store. (100 yen is close to a dollar) Same concept, and I was abe to get my kids chop sticks, tea cups, fans, and other gadgets for a great price. It made me wonder if they are copying us, or we are copying them?

Neat items with a once in a lifetime kind of story behind it :yay:

Believe it or not I am jealous. I use to pimp my former co-workers from other countries to bring me back stuff when they went to their countries for vacations. I still have all of that stuff on my "what not" stand. I have a tea cup too. I would love chop sticks and a fan too.

The Five Below in Waldorf is in the new shopping center that is behind the Best Buy, right across the street from the Circuit City shopping center. There's also one at each Mills mall (Potomac and Arundel). Got to thinking and remembered they have great deals on soccer and basketballs ($5 each), and they have lots of other sports stuff too. They have a little card that you can get stamped for each dollar you spend, and once you hit $100 you get a $5 item for free. So that's cool too.

Also remembered the other thing I like to get at Dollar King. They have those puka (sp?) shell necklaces. Much cheaper than going to Claire's (where they are $7-$8) or even Wal-Mart, etc. For my daughter's birthday party last year, I got all the kids a necklace as a favor, and they loved them.
