Sports radio host fired after 'Barbie' comments to female TV reporter

WBIG Radio host Don Geronimo was fired Saturday after comments he made toward Sharla McBride on Thursday during Washington Commanders' training camp.

He made a rude comment (if you can imagine him doing that) about a chick sports "reporter" looking like Barbie.

McBride said she was "hurt" by the comments that were made.

She felt "unsafe" so that brute Geronimo got the boot.

No word on whether Howard Stern's Butt Bongo Fiesta will make a return.....

I remember him playing Top 40 music in the late 60's/early 70's on WPGC. When dinosaurs walked the earth!

Women do not belong doing sports programs that men play in to begin with IMO, but that makes me a misogynist I guess. Not that I give a sht.

I listened to Jim Elliott and Scott Woodside at WPGC. I even went to 1 or 2 of the Rambling Raft Races down in DC!!! (late 70's) They left PGC and went to Q107.

I read that it was the Commanders who wanted him out. They are trying to do better. I guess the Redskins cheerleaders who were assaulted while at work should have "just toughened up". This is 2023 why didn't Don Geronimo think to do better? Not surprised that people on this forum support this behavior. Many men, including Howard Stern, are realizing that what they did or said about women was wrong. I have heard Howard apologize many times recently for his past behavior.
