LOCUST GROVE, Ga. (AP) -- An animal rescue center called Noah's Ark is looking for donations to help cover the $5,000 cost of care for a baby zebra found injured on Interstate 75 south of Atlanta. Advertisement

The rescuers believe the male, estimated to be 2 to 3 months old, fell from a truck and then was hit by another vehicle. They got the call Tuesday that it was eating grass along an I-75 exit.

A veterinarian said surgery was needed for a crushed pelvis, nerve damage and a severed urethra, which had to be rerouted.

Those aren't zebra stripes - they're tire tracks. Severed urethra - Ouch. I wonder where they rerouted it to? Poor thing!

How about donations to find the asshat that let him fall from a truck? :burning:

I agree, how could they not know:doh:. And the person that hit him, how did they not stop and at least report it. I'm just glad there is a place like Noahs Ark:patriot:.

They want to keep him they should pay the expenses....If he is fixed and adoptable they could get their $5K back out of him that is about what they run..but if they plan to keep him as they say..then they can pay it..
