Don's BP (Leonardtown)

Does anyone know whats going on at Don's BP in Leonardtown. I noticed the prices are gone off the price board the last few days. I wonder if just the repair shop will be open or if some work is being done to the gas pumps etc.

Could be that Don made the same decision Tippett did - when the prices got outrageous, he stopped selling gas.

Texaco was out of gas yesterday. This weekend was supposed to be the end of their gas pumps but I doubt if they refill their tanks.

The Early Bird was open yesterday. Are they supposed to close?

I dont think they are shutting it down, but the employees dont think they will be able to stay. I think it was bought by the people who bought the EZStop in Calloway, and dragged to the ground. So I wouldnt expect many more sandybottoms, ice cream or cheeseburger subs for too much longer. Sounds like it will be more of a convenice store than it is now. You know, exatcly what everyone wants. Not a place that sells more than carboard pizza and germ hot dogs.

No, they placed a paper in with their employees pay checks that said they'd be unemployed after July 15th.

Saw today that there is a large Excavator sitting next to the Texaco in Leonardtown. It's the same one that was at the old Dash In on 235 across from the Sheetz, that was used to take the fuel tanks out. So I take it they plan on demolition as soon as possible. Now we need a WAWA or Sheetz to come into Leoanrdtown.
