Don't Trust Winters Heating And Air

Just want to let everyone know the awful treatment we have received from Winters Heating and Air.....We called Tuesday night for a service call, we were told they were busy and would be put on a waiting list for Wednesday......At around 4pm on Wednesday after hearing nothing from them, we called and were told..."Sorry, we can't get to you today, you'll be on the list for tomorrow(Thursday)....we agreed. Well, around 11 am on Thursday after hearing nothing.......we called and they said we are on the list for 2pm.................we waited, and at 4 pm we called only to find out that we are not on the list and they really don't care if we call someone else because their money is made on service contracts anyway. So, I basically told the supervisor to stick it and called BURCH OIL COMPANY....who, if you are unaware like I was, do service all electric models............and they have us 4th on the list for SAME DAY SERVICE!!!! They just made a customer for life and I am signing up for their service plan which also runs alot less expensive than Winters with many more benefits! So, if you need service, take my advice and call BURCH OIL and not those loosers at Winters.

I use the company I have a service contract with. Came home to no A/C one afternoon last summer and had it fixed before I went to bed that night

Well, its 5:48 and Burch Oil has already been here....fixed problem, serviced unit in order to begin service contract and left...........they were polite and didn't even laugh at us when it was a blockage of our coils due to excessive dog hair that caused our breakage. You think to clean the filter....but that stuff gets through. And our total.............Now remember, we got a response in under 30 minutes....repair and cleaning and are now signed up for the service contract...................................UNDER $200

I LOVE BURCH OIL................................they should make that into a bumper sticker!:yahoo:

Our AC is out as well. If they can't justify the cost when the part comes in...we will be doing the same as you...fleeing.

It does disturb me that I have seen several posts about Winters not being good anymore. It kind of makes me question why I have a service plan with them...and will they be around to continue and support the service in the near future.

They have been good to us in the past and this week we got same day service...no complaint there. A bit of a sticker shock...which might be justified (and most likely is).

Obviously something is going on if all these types of posts keep popping up.

I am so very blessed
I've always heard bad things about Winter's. Just by all of the negative word-of-mouth opinions , I'd never use them.

Just a heads up Puff, in a general staement, Lennox parts are higher from the dealer than most other brands are so higher prices are the norm, most of the time if a contractor can put on an after market part it is a better deal all around

Do they have a new place to move to? Their building has been for sale for quite some time.

mmmmhmmmmm
We use to use Winters at my work. They never accomplished anything. Switched to Tri-County Aire. They are not wonderful but definately better then Winters.

I Fullly Agree

Yeah, we made the same mistake once upon a time. Like many others, we learned our lesson the hard way. I don't think the furnace has been right since they worked on it. We tried to have them do routine maintence for the warranty on a brand new furnace. Wouldn't you know they even screwed that up? Amazing!

We are no longer customers as well. They obviously don't care if they loose business.
