I used Moore's Driving Academy. I know there is a office in Mechanicsville, but I also believe there is one in Lexington park.

I don't think it much matters. It's just a 'check mark' on their way to getting a license and the class itself, including the six hours behind the wheel, no way near prepares the students for real life driving. Just make sure you save the completion certificate so that it is available when you go for the permit/license.
I think all of the schools give 30 hours classroom (3 hrs. per night, five nights per week, two weeks) plus the six hours on the road. Find one that is convenient and make the best of it.

My son just completed the 30 hrs class part and now doing the 6 hrs driving part.
Lately he has been begging to get the learner's permit.

Regardless of what school ya go with, please please PLEASE spend time with these kids teaching them to determine distance and speed. Judging from all the kids killed in car accidents at intersections, that seems to be a missing component of instruction these days. 
Of course, it doesn't help if they have a car load of their buds to distract 'em, either.

Make sure the school you use gives such great advice such as:
"drive on the left lane, it's much smoother..."
"make sure to not use the turn signal as it wastes 0.000001 gallon of fuel"
"drive close to the bumper of the car ahead of you for aerodynamic efficiency"
"if a signal at an intersection in not operational, don't slow down (can cost you gas mileage!) becaues the main thoroughfare has the right of way"
"a stop sigh is merely a suggestion"

Drafting isn't bad on the highway if you're experienced doing it.
