Stop anywhere and as often as you need for the kids, or your trip could be really, really long. If you are planning on making an overnight stop, and if you are coming down I-95, Charleston or Savannah are neat, and the kids will enjoy it. That puts you 6-7 hours out of Tampa, so you could leave either of those places around 0900 - 1000, and arrive in Tampa easily late afternoon/very early evening.

What part of town/Hillsborough County will you be in? Just happens to be where I live.

If you are thinking of taking the tribe cross country, this is your automobile. The Wagon Queen Family Truckster. You think you hate it now, but wait till you drive it.

What a blast from the past! Takes me back to our 1967 Rambler Ambassador SW where we three boys sat in the rear-facing back seat on our numerous cross country trips. Seven kids and two parents in three bench seats made for some very, errrr....close travel, for sure.

You definitely need more than one day or night in Charleston. Make that a separate trip as there is lots to see and do both downtown and the beaches nearby and in between. If you do stop there, try and take the kids to the aquarium. You won't regret it.

Tropical
Made it back from tampa with no TB, did manage to catch what I think is the flu though :cds:

Did it rain a lot while you were there? It's rained here every day for the last month for at least a few hours, yesterday it rained all day and today looks like a repeat. The weather where I am and the weather in Tampa can be so different.

Sorry to hear you picked up a bug, hope you feel better.
