Drywall

We're looking for someone to do some drywall finishing upstairs. My husband started it, but really doesn't know what he's doing. HELP!!!!!!

Any recommendations?

What do you mean "started it"? He does know that the finished edges of drywall are tapered to allow for the joint compound and you cannot/should not try to join a cut edge and a finished edge, right? Not that I know anything about drywall........I saw it on TV, yeah that it, a TV show.

Well, the drywall is hung and he did the mud himself. It looks like shiat. It probably needs to be sanded down and re-done.

This is a project that was started months and months ago. Because he didn't know what he was doing, it came to a screeching hault. We have a bathroom and bedroom that need to be finished.

He taped and mudded it already, so how does it look like shiat? Bumpy? Is he really using a wide drywall trowel or did he go cheap and try using a putty knife or one of those $1.99 plastic trowels?

Well, he and his nephew did the mud. Neither knew what they were doing and I don't know what tools they used. I just know he got the stuff at Lowe's.

We just want someone who knows what they're doing to come in and make it look smooth and ready for painting.

BTW, this was all supposed to be finished ages ago - or at least before the baby is born - I'm due in 16 days. So much for that. :duh:
