Nutley Police report that a Nutley resident who assaulted a delivery driver with a sandwich has been charged with simple assault and now faces a court date.
The driver made a food delivery totaling $11.75. The actor gave the driver $12.00 but refused the quarter change and told the driver to "toss it because (he) didn't need it." The driver then tossed the quarter into the driveway, away from the actor.
While going back to the car, the driver was hit in the back of the head with a sandwich thrown by the actor. The actor then smeared the sandwich on the driver's windshield.
