Troopers from the Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack and Officers of the Frederick City Police Department will be conducting a sobriety check point on Friday 5/3/2019. The area of the checkpoint will be MD Route 26 and Liberty Road. The goal of this checkpoint will be to deter drivers from getting behind the wheel after consuming alcoholic beverage, educate the public on the dangers of drunk driving and to locate impaired drivers.
The cost of a ride home is cheap. Download NHTSA’s SaferRide mobile app available for Android and Apple devices or one of the rideshare apps. Drivers caught driving impaired can expect the impact of a DUI arrest to include jail time, fines, fees, DUI classes, license suspensions and other expenses that can exceed $10,000.
