dumb question

Can someone help me?

I can't seem to find how to remove a program from start up. I have 2 programs launching at startup, that I don't want. I can see where they are on the start up list, but not how to get them off.

I have XP.

Click "run" then open msconfig, Go to "startup". Uncheck what you want to remove.
